David and Goliath !

This Blog yet again features David White and also his opponent Ken Denton . Whilst Ken would be the first to admit he is not really a Goliath , he is still a tricky player for an eleven year old to beat ( plus it makes for a good title ! ) . After a couple of legs it was easy to see that Ken was reasonably fired up for this match as no adult likes being beaten by an eleven year old ! . Ken is an awkward customer to play and was able to make things difficult for David and did his level best to keep the ball away from Davids forehand loop and produced his usual mixture of shots to try and stop his opponent settling in to a rythym . Alas for Ken, David was having none of it and produced a prodigious display of attacking table tennis to overcome Ken in the fifth , David opened up in almost every point they played and took all the risks throughout the match . He played so well in fact that it even attracted John Graham over from the other match just to watch him , he appeared suitably impressed ! . Well done David .

Malted Milks make a return . . .

Oh My God !

I noticed tonight that another packet of the dreaded Malted Milk Biscuits had made an unwelcome return on the Hammers biscuit list for their match against SupaRoofing. I'm sure Dennis Gibbs must have thought that Alan was trying to poison him before the match . .

You'll really have to do better than this Alan if we're going to maintain the high standards that we set ourselves on the refreshment front here at Brixham.

You must report to the chairman for a punishment !

Those Biscuits !

I see the saga of the Malted Milks from our team in Division 1 has finally come to a close. I've been closely following the antics of said biscuits and their vain attempt not to get digested. So, it was lads from Halwell who finally "took the biscuit" ! You'll have to come up with something else now Alan - perhaps some dry rusks will do the trick . . . .
